Chopin concerts in Polonia House

The Chopin concerts in Polonia House have become a tradition. They are organized regularly by Orpheus Artistic Agency and the "Wspólnota Polska" Association since 2005. The venue for these concerts is the Renaissance Hall, and the performers top Polish pianists from the young generation, including Paweł Kubica, Anna Boczar, Oliwia Grabowska and Adam Dobrowolski, each one of whom has won several prizes and is well respected in the international piano world. The concert programmes comprise pieces by Frederic Chopin: mazurkas, polonaises, waltzes, etudes and ballads. Concerts are accompanied by an exhibition of posters and mementos devoted to Frederic Chopin

FROM FLAMENCO TO ROCK

Performers: Flamenco Duo, Michał Kaniewski - guitar, Jan Baryła - flute
Michał Kaniewski (guitar) - For many years he collaborated with Krakow's most famous cabaret, Piwnica pod Baranami, and with another cabaret outfit, Loch Camelot. He has performed across Poland and abroad (in France, Germany and the USA) with the Roma music and dance troupe Terno-Roma. He performs a broad variety of forms of guitar music, and recently he has been pursuing his fascination for flamenco. He is one of few flamenco performers in Poland.
Jan Baryła (flute) - Graduale of Music Academy In Krakow. Since 1991 he has been working at the post of a manager of Contemporary Music Club "Malwa". He conducts "Orfeusz" orchestra, organizes art events and plays the flute. He is an author and a producer of multiple music projects among many others there are such as: International composers' Competition Garden Music. His recent fascination is flamenco music. Together with Michał Kaniewski he has created a duet on guitar and flute: Flamenco Duo.
